Like zeno said if you graph the (x,y) out do they appear to form a line. You could check the slope (rise over run) between each point to make sure they are the same. If you determine that these values are linear you can then write an equation for a line which is y = mx + b, where m (y/x) is the slope and b is the y intercept. Let me know if this helps and if you need any further explanation.
