You need to rearrange the equation so that it looks like y=mx + b The m is the slope (rise over run) and the b is the y intercept. Intercepts are where the line crosses the x axis and y axis. The y intercept is where x = 0 and the x intercept is where y = 0. Hope this helps. Let me know if this makes sense.
