Iraq war and US History

How do you think the Iraq war (war on terrorism) will effect the history of the United States? Ie. when we look back 100 years from now, what will we read about in our history books?

Much of this will depend on what the war does to the United States. Will the US bankrupt itself?
Will this lead to nuclear war?
Will we even have a civilization to look back on?
Will the US end up as a fascist dictatorship in the name of security?
