Decent fonts for Windows

Are there any decent default fonts for windows? Coming from OS X, it's hard to work how painful most of the Windows fonts are

You can download fonts from dafont.com. I also suggest taking a look at smashingmagazine.com, and search their font collections. I also believe that if you're running XP, anti aliasing is turned off by default. I'd switch that back on.

Yeah, I think really your only options range between georgia and Arial. Otherwise you have to hope you have Microsoft office installed. In that case you might get a few nice additions but even then window's rending of fonts just doesn't equal up to OS X
